New York's Green-Wood Cemetery

The Museum of the City of New York hosted the
exhibition, “A Beautiful Way to Go” to commemorate
the 175th anniversary of Green-Wood Cemetery,
a national historic landmark and the 19th century’s
most renowned public landscape in New York City.

The exhibition used large-scale historic Green-Wood maps to cover the ground plane on which visitors walk.

Artifacts belonging to the cemetery’s famous inhabitants were located in illuminated cases above the map corresponding to the places
where they reside.
